0.35x = 14

x = 14 / 0.35

x = 40

So what you can do is set a proportion.

That is basically comparing 14 / 0.35 to ? / 1

With ? being the value.

The proportion would be:

(14)/(0.35) = (?)/(1)

Then cross multiply.

14 * 1 = 0.35 * ?

14 = 0.35 * ?

/0.35 /0.35

? = 40

So the value is 40.
