Kim bought 20 notebooks for $10 dollars. How many notebooks should she buy if she had $16?

We can use a proportion to solve this.

(20 notebooks/ $10) = (x amount of notebooks/ $16)

We'll solve for x by multiply 20 and 16 and dividing by 10

20×16=320

320/10=32

She could buy 32 notebooks
