Rory is staying in a cabin on a hill 300 feet above sea level. She walks down the hill to the water’s edge. The equation of her average change in elevation over time is e = 300 – 10t, where t is the time in minutes since she left the cabin, and e is her elevation with regard to sea level. Which values are viable points, and what are their values in the table relating t and e?

I can make a table with a set of possible values and explain how to build it, so you will be able to check all the values that you have in your list and determine whether they are viable points or not. Time elevation t (min) e = 300 – 10 t (feet) 0 300 – 10(0) = 300 – 0 =300 10 300 – 10 (10) = 300 – 100 = 200 20 300 – 10(20) = 300 – 200 = 100 30 300 – 10(300) = 300 – 300 = 0 And the corresponding points are: (0,300), (10, 200), (20, 100) and (30,0). As you see, you just plug in the time in the formula e = 300 – 10t, and so you obtain the value of e, then the point will be the values (t, e) in that order (first t, second e).
