Hydropower is the most commonly used renewable energy source in the US follwed by wind energy.

Wind energy makes blades rotate which spins the generator to create the elctricity. Thats the principle of wind energy whereas hydropower works on the simple principle called *conservation of energy* in which potential energy of the water is converted into Kinetic energy which helps to rotate the turbines.

Solar energy can be used in space and we have already installed them in ISS(International Space Station)
