First, I want you to remember the mnemonic: PEMDAS or Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally

This is an easy way to remember which order to do the mathematical operations. It means that you do what is inside the Parenthesis first. Then you do the exponents, followed by muliplication, division, (addition and subtraction).

2 × (456 + 2,678) - 124

2 × 3134 - 124

6268 - 124 = 6144

Your answer is 6144
