TRUE
The green algae and land plants both are photosynthetic in nature and prepare their own food. They have photosynthetic pigments chlorophyll a and b. These also have cell walls that contain starch in them. Due to all these similarities, green algae and land plants are kept together in the subgroup Archaeplastida.
