y=x-4 (a)

y = -x +2 (b)

Replace the value of y (a) on (b)

x-4=-x+2

Solve for x

x+x =2+4

2x= 6

x=6/2

x=3

Replace x on any equation (a) or (b) and solve for y:

y=x-4 (a)

y=3-4

y=-1

Solution: (3,-1) option D
