First step, multiply the bottom one by 8
it should look like
8x -16y =0
8x + 16y = 24

Then jsut work the problem
the 16's cancel out, and the 8's add to 16, and the 24 add's to 0 making it 24 still.
So it should look like
16x = 24.
making your answer 1.5
