First, all of them fulfill the second equation. Then, you try the values in the first function. You will find that (-2,0) works, and (2,-4) works.

We can write y=-2-x. So we can write -2-x=-x²-x+2 because y equals both of these expressions, so the expressions must be equal. The x terms cancel out and we’re left with x²=4 so x=2 and y=-2-2=-4; and x=-2 and y=2-2=0. So the ordered pairs are (2,-4) and (-2,0). These are answer options 1 and 3.
