check the picture below.

notice, both triangles have a right-angle, so we can use HL on them.

now HL says that if the hypotenuses and one side in each are equal, they are congruent.

well, you can pretty much count how many units for each right off the grid, are the (red) hypotenuses equal?

side CD in green is equal for both since is shared by both anyway.
