The general expression for the slope of a line is :

\text{ Slope=}(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

The given coordinates : ( 4, 5) & ( 7, 0)

Substitute each set of coordinates in the expression for the slope such as :

\begin{gathered} x_1=4,y_1=5 \\ x_2=7,y_2=0 \\ \text{ Slope=}(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1) \\ \text{Slope}=(0-5)/(7-4) \\ \text{Slope}=(-5)/(3) \\ \text{Slope = }(-5)/(3) \end{gathered}

Slope if the line that passes through ( 4, 5) and (7, 0) is -5/3
