What does the word improbable mean in this sentence? Our teacher thought it was improbable that we would go on a class trip this year.

Rarely
disbelieve
doubting
doubtful

It means doubtful. Improbable means that something probably won't happen. She is saying that they probably won't go on a class trip, so she's doubtful of it. It wouldn't be doubting because that doesn't make sense when you plug it back into the sentence. Hope this helps!
