The latent heat of fusion of water is 333.55 J/g or 79.72 cal/g.
This assumes that the freezing temperature is 0°C.
Therefore the amount of heat absorbed per gram of ice as it melts is
79.72 cal or 333.55 J
Answer: 79.72 cal
