when x is o, f(0)=2, when x is 2, f(2)=4, so you are given two points, (0,2) and (2,4)
find the slope: m=(4-2)/(2-0)=1
write it in point-slope form, using either point: (y-2)=1(x-0)
so the equation is y=x+2
