You can use proportions.
Milk:
6 is to 2 2/3 as 8 is to x
6/(2 2/3) = 8/x
6/(8/3) = 8/x
6x = 8 * 8/3
6x = 64/3
x = 32/9
x = 3 5/9
Oil:
6 is to 1/4 as 8 is to x
6/(1/4) = 8/x
6x = 1/4 * 8
6x = 2
x = 2/6
x = 1/3
