What we know:
.47 per pound
David's pumpkin=13.24lbs
David's sister's pumpkin=10.6lbs
What we need to find: total cost of pumpkins.
total cost=.47(13.24+10.6)=.47(23.84)≈$11.20

Adding the two pumpkin weights and then multiplying 0.47 you should get the amount.
13.24+10.6=23.84×0.47=11.20
