After adding everything together you should get y=-2x+10

Perpendicular lines' slopes are reciprocals of one another. So we know the perpendicular line will have a slope of 1/2. Then we can use our points to find the rest. 8=1/2(1)+b 8=0.5+b 7.5=b y=2x+b
