`(7t + 5)+(8t - 3)\\\\=7t+5+8t-3\\\\=7t+8t+5-3\\\\=15t+2`

Hence, the required expression :

b) At t=9 , number of tadpoles you have =
`(7(9)+5)=68` (using (i))

Number of tadpoles you have =
`(8(9)-3)=69` (using (ii))

Since , 69> 68

It means your friend has more tadpoles after 9 minutes.
