The test that is most significant in determining the client's response to treatment is AMYLASE LEVEL. This is because, the serum amylase level usually increases in triple folds in individuals who have acute pancreatitis. If the client is responding to treatment, there will be a reduction in the the client's initial amylase level that was obtained in the laboratory, the level will return toward normal value.
