If you have a pie, and you take out a slice of 72 degrees, that leaves you with 288 degrees of the pie.
To get 288, you have to subtract the 72 from the 360 which is how many degrees are in a circle

A pie should be 360 degrees total
if you cut 72 away..
360 - 72 = 288
288 degrees is left
