At the bookstore checkout, you watch as the register rings up your purchases and coupons.

The prices were as follows:
$1.85
$8.56
$6.30
$2.73
$5.25
$4.09
$7.95
– $0.85 (coupon)
– $2.10 (coupon)
The register gives your total bill as $41.44. Estimate the total amount of the bill, by rounding
each value to the nearest dollar, and use your answer to determine whether the total on the register is reasonable.

1.85 --> 2.00
8.56 --> 9.00
6.30 --> 6.00
2.73 --> 3.00
5.25 --> 5.00
4.09 --> 4.00
7.95 --> 8.00
0.85 --> 1.00 (coupon)
2.10 --> 2.00 (coupon)

2.00 + 9.00 + 6.00 + 3.00 + 5.00 + 4.00 + 8.00 = $37.00 (item total)
1.00 + 2.00 = $3.00 (coupon total)
37.00 - 3.00 = $34.00

Actual: $41.44
Estimated: $34.00

It it off by $6.00, so I don't think it'd be reasonable.
