POSITIVE- a general increasing trend where the plotted points go in the general direction from bottom left to top right.

NEGATIVE- a general decreasing trend starting from top left decreasing to the bottom right.

NO CORRELATION- points are scattered everywhere and no trend can be seen

you can also have strong positive and negative depends how clear the trend is and if the direction is extremely clear.
