Answer:

y=-3x+14, slope intercept form

3x+y =14, standard form

Explanation:

y + 1 = -3(x - 5)

We need to write the given equation in slope intercept form or standard form

slope intercept form is
y=mx+b

To get slope intercept form , we need to get y alone

y + 1 = -3(x - 5) ( multiply -3 inside the parenthesis )

y+1=-3x+15 , subtract 1 on both sides

y=-3x+14

Standard form is
Ax + By = C

To get standard form we keep x term and y term on the left hand side

y=-3x+14

Add 3x on both sides

3x+y =14
