use the slop intercept formula: y2 - y1 / x2 - x1. -5 is y2, -2 is x2, 3 is y1, and -4 is x1.

(-5 - 3) / (-2 - (-4))

-8 / (-2 + 4)

-8/2

-4

The slope is -4. I hope this helps!
