Point M is the middle point, or also referred to as midpoint. It is the point on a line segment that divides the segment in two congruent segments. Between A(-4,4) and B(-1,-6) the point M would be:
((x1+x2)/2,(y1+y2)/2), where x1=-4, x2=-1, y1=4 and y2=-6
So, we have
M=(-4-1/2,4-(-6)/2)
M=(-5/2, 5)
