Answer:

Dan bought 44.65 liters of gas.

Explanation:

The gas Dan bought on Friday and Saturday in gallons is

5(1)/(4)+6(1)/(2)

=(21)/(4) +(13)/(2)

We collect LCM for the denominators,

=(21+26)/(4)

=(47)/(4)gallons

We now convert to liters using the relation,

1\:gallon=3.8\: liters

Let
(47)/(4)\:gallons=x\:liters

Then,

x=3.8* (47)/(4)

x=(38)/(10)* (47)/(4)

x=(19)/(5)* (47)/(4)

x=(893)/(20)=44.65

Therefore Dan bought 44.65 liters of gas.
