General Westmoreland told the American public that (option 1) )The United States was making progress in Vietnam. Even tough , the Tet Offensive was a military victory, the political victory was for the North Vietnamese. When people got to know about it, this was broadcasts they reacted against it, that made the support for the war failed and allow the USA to withdrew.
