The Mayans had a very advanced numeral system with place values, sophisticated and complex calendars, mathematics ahead of Europe’s for centuries, architectural structures with great elegance (one of which include the longest suspension bridge from the 7th century to 1377), knowledge in astronomy, the only complete writing system in Mesoamerica, remarkably precise strait, elevated roads/causeways, aqueducts through the use of water pressure technology, sophisticated and intricate art variety, and the production of rubber before vulcanization.

The Maya people were great builders who constructed great cities, roads and temples. Mayan Cities hand magnificent monuments, palaces with intricate designs and temple pyramids that are still evident today.
