the proper way for MLA format is
First the topic sentence.
Then some examples or quotes
Next would be the sentence explain the quote
And then repeat that once or twice depending on how much information you need to give
After that would be the conclusion sentence.

Had to do in text citations late last year. Every time we had a quote in text we had to cite it right after the quote finished.
