According to the cell theory all living cells come from living cells by multiplying. The cell theory states that: All living things are made up of cells. Cells are the basic unit of living things.

All cells come from pre-existing cells by cell division. Schwann also proposed “FreeCell Formation” or spontaneous generation of cells — this was before Pasteur's definitive experiments. Modern Cell Theory Also States: Life's chemical processes, such as metabolism, occur inside of cells. hope this helps
