John is calculating 6 % tax on an item in a store. He means to multiply the price of the item by 0.06, but he accidentally divides by 0.06. His answer is

a) correct

b) too small

c) too large

d) undefined


Please help me i need the answer!!

His answer is wrong and (c.) too large

Say his item is $100. With 6% tax, he would pay $106. If he was to divide it by 0.06 he would get 1666.66666. This answer is to large and therefore your answer is c, too large
