This happens due to the mutation caused in the genetic pool of species, generation after generation leading to evolution and then to evolution apex. For example – Before industrial evolution, light colored moth found on native trees were easily traced and attacked by the predator bird but during the industrial revolution the environmental condition changed and the moth adapted to the changed condition through mutation and speciation, thereby leading to emergence of dark colored moth which were entirely different from the species of origin. Also, these dark colored moth now became untraceable due to their dark color as they live on dark colored bark.
