1. Americans had a cause they believed in. It wasn't just a job to the soldiers.
2. The American soldiers were fighting in familiar territory. A home turf advantage.
3. The colonists were much better marksman, while the British were trained in the traditional firing line method.
4. The Colonial had much better leadership throughout the ranks. They knew what they were doing.
