Answer:

The mound builders, Cherokee and Iroquois were woodland tribes. They used to live in the east of plain Indians and depended on the natural resources for fulfilling their basic needs. As they used to live in forests near streams, they were named Eastern Woodland Indians. They exacted food, shelter, and tools from the forests. Most of the Eastern woodland Indians were found in the region east of Mississippi River and were spread from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico.
