About 0.3% of human live births are trisomic. in contrast, only 0.02% of human live births are monosomic. select the best explanation for why the occurrence of monosomics is less than that of trisomics.

The occurrence of monosomics is less than that of the trisomics because, deleterious recessive allele may be masked by dominant allele on trisomic chromosomes but not on the monosomic chromosomes.
Trisomy can occur in any chromosome and it usually results in miscarriage rather than live birth, those that survive to birth usually result in different types of down syndrome.
