−3(1+x)=−3x+1
Step 1: Simplify both sides of the equation.
−3(1+x)=−3x+1
(−3)(1)+(-3)(X)=-3x+1
(Distribute)
−3+ −3x=−3x+1
−3x−3=−3x+1
Step 2: Add 3x to both sides.
−3x−3+3x=-3x+1+3x
−3=1
Step 3: Add 3 to both sides.
−3+3=1+3
0=4
Answer:
There are no solutions.
