What's the equation of the line that passes through points A = (0,1) and B = (2, -3)?

step 1

Find the slope

m=(-3-1)/(2-0)

m=-4/2

m=-2

step 2

Find the equation of the line in slope intercept form

y=mx+b

we have

m=-2

b=1

substitute

y=-2x+1
