Determine whether the ordered pair (8,-5) is a solution to the equation 3x-2y=6

So, to solve this, you just plop those x and y values into the equation. So:

3(8) -2(-5)= 6
24- (-10) =6
34=6
34=/=6
Since these two are not equal, the ordered pair is not a solution.
