we know that

An isosceles triangle is a triangle with two equal sides and two equal angles

Let

x-------> the length of the equal sides

y-----> the length of the base

y=x-3 -----> equation A

The perimeter of an isosceles triangle is equal to

P=2x+y

P=15.6\ m

so

15.6=2x+y ------> equation B

substitute equation A in equation B

15.6=2x+[x-3]

15.6=3x-3

3x=18.6

x=6.2\ m

Find the value of y

y=x-3

y=6.2-3=3.2\ m

therefore

the answer is

The dimensions of the triangle are

leg1=6.2\ m

leg2=6.2\ m

base=3.2\ m
