If y=3x+2, find the value of y when x=-2. Please help.

Alright so, this wouldn't be too challenging in its entirety. So y= 3x+2. If x = -2 substitute x for negative 2 in the equation so it'd be, y = 3(-2) + 2. First, let' solve 3(-2). 3 times 2 is 6 and since it's negative it's negative 6. Negative 6 plus 2 is negative 4. Thus your answer is, negative 4.
