The answer is -1.
First, distribute the negative inside the parenthesis of 1/2.
Next, turn all the denominators into 6 by multiplying by 3 or 2.
-1/2 + 2/3 + -1 1/6
Changes to -3/6 + 4/6 - 1 1/6
-3/6 + 4/6 = 1/6
1/6 - 1 1/6 = -1
