By denouncing labor as Communist, management stifled the concerns of their workers; the cold war and the spread of communism affect the tobacco industry. A cold war is a condition between countries that does not include coordinate military activity but rather is sought after principally through financial and political activities, promulgation, demonstrations of reconnaissance or intermediary wars pursued by surrogates.
