Drugs used by peers is the strongest predictor of an individuals's involvement in drug use. Individuals especially teens are influenced by what is around them. They may be pressured by peers to try drugs to in order to fit in and feel accepted by others. Seeing your peers use drugs can also stimulate curiosity and increase an individual's chances of trying them.
