The value of "b" would be -8/3. This is a two steps equation which can be solves by two steps, adding or subtracting, and multiplying or dividing, in this case, it's going to be subtracting and dividing. First of all, you need to get the
"b" value by itself, so subtract 5 from both side, which will left you with -3b=8. Then, all you need to do left is divide, in this case, you going to divide -3 from both sides, and b is equal to -8 over 3, or b=-8/3.

Hope this help you.
