Given: x=8 when y= 6.

To find: We have to find y when x=12.

Solution:

The value of x and y are respectively -

x=8 when y= 6.

To get x=12 we have to multiple a number with 8 which will result in 12.

So, let the number be x.

We can write-

Thus the value of x is 3/2.

Now we have to multiply the value of y which is 6 with 3/2 to get the new value of y.

Thus the value of y is 9.
