-24a^2 - 6a + 9
You don't want a negative in front of the variable that is being squared.
-1(24a^2 + 6a - 9)
-3(8a^2 + 2a - 3)
now we use the A C method. what two numbers multiply to equal A×C (8×-3) and add to be B (2)?

6 and -4

-3(8a^2 + 6a - 4a - 3) factor by grouping
-3(2a(4a + 3) -1(4a + 3))
-3(2a - 1)(4a + 3)

hope this helped C:
