How to Solve (3/4+1/2)

first you want to make the fractions similar.

to do this you need to make the denominators (the botom part of each fraction) the same.
so you can multiply 1/2 by two DO NOT MULIPLY THE FRACTION AS A WHOLE that would not be good lol
you will multiply
1*2=2
2-2=4
now your fraction will be 2/4

now lets place that back into the equation
3/4+2/4=?
now to solve this the denominators will stay the same.
we only add the top number
3+2= 5

so our answer will be 5/4 or 1 1/4
