U.S. cities grew quickly during the 1800s because:

A. Education became freely available in cities.
B. Nativists called for more Americans to move to cities .
C. Poor transportation made it difficult to leave cities.
D. Recent immigrants often had to live in cities.
I thought it was D but I'm not 100% sure, I just know it's not A or B, what should I choose???
