So your variable is v. Let's solve for v.

7v = 7v + 10. subtract 7v from both sides
0 = 10

NO SOLUTION

As you can see, 0 does not in fact equal 10.

Anytime you get a false equation like this which usually results when the variable disappears like it did here, there is no solution.
