We need to convert the given measures from yard to feet. Since 1 yard is equal to 3 feet, we have

\begin{gathered} 7yd=7yd*((3ft)/(1yd)) \\ \text{then} \\ 7yd=21ft \end{gathered}

similarly, for the wide, we have

\begin{gathered} 3yd=3yd*((3ft)/(1yd)) \\ 3yd=9ft \end{gathered}

Since the area of a rectangle is wide times length, the area is

\begin{gathered} A=\text{wide}* length \\ A=9ft*21ft \\ A=189ft^2 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the area is equal to 189 square feet
